The second Y number is six — for monthly subscription savings!

I haven’t seen much mention of this but it seems that the December update officially bans hardware modded XBoxes, resulting in sad clowns up and down the Eastern Seaboard. This involves the DVD-burner firmware hack that came out when the XBox was still new and exciting and I’m not going to admit to any nefarious misdeeds, but I probably won’t be playing CoD:4 online any time soon. Sorry, grandma! Keep the clan together without me!

Incidentally, it’s almost impossible to cancel your XBL membership. Thanks, Microsoft!
