The 2007 Crunchies Award site is now live. This is an international awards to recognise the year’s most innovative technical, creative and business accomplishments of key companies, products and people in the new technology arena. The awards are international, but there is at least one award out of the twenty categories which is specifically named Best International Start-up to specifically recognise a non-US-based company. The awards are backed by GigaOm, Read/WriteWeb, VentureBeat and TechCrunch.

You are invited to submit your favourite companies and products for consideration. Please read the official rules first (don’t worry, they are not long). Nominations will be open from midnight (PST) on Wednesday, December 12. Then voting for the finalists will open on Thursday, December 13 and run for approximately one month before the awards ceremony on Friday, which will be held on January 18 in San Francisco.

Make sure you grab a badge ASAP to put on your site to encourage readers to nominate you! And may the best UK and Irish startups win! ;-)
