I was browsing the Interwebs this evening when I found this funny example of extremely misguided marginalia. Join me in pouring a snifter of brandy, sitting down in a well-worn leather club chair, and chuckling noiselessly even as my morphine-addicted wife rages around the house calling for our dead son. Some people are so benighted!

For a paper that I’m working on about technology and the city, I read most of William J. Mitchell’s City of Bits. I took it out of the library, and whoever had it before me scribbled all over the margins. The book itself is really lame and annoying, but these little gems of penciled commentary got me through.
