GeekBrief.TV #251

We like being experimental on The Brief, but we don’t typically take it as far as we did on Brief #251. It’s a sloppy bit of production, but we were documenting a process to transmit high quality video over Skype, much like with a satellite uplink.

From time to time, I make my way up to Canada to appear on The Lab with Leo Laporte. The show’s producers wanted me to try doing a segment via Skype. I wanted to blow them away with something unique so I contacted some friends at xTrain.com. They put me on a virtual 3D set and delivered that video live to Vancouver, Canada flawlessly.

This video is for “how stuff works” fanatics like us. As soon as The Lab episode is released, I’ll get permission to release the segment on my feed so we can see what the finished production looks like.
