Business 2.0 is one of the few paper magazines that I could ever stand to read — Shaved Sex and Professional Goat Breeder are two others, if that tells you anything about the state of the magazine industry. While I was at TC40, Michael leaned over and whispered something in my ear. An hour and a motel room refund later, I realized I what he had really said was that Erick Schonfeld, former editor-at-large at Biz 2.0, was coming on board as the New York TechCrunch editor.

I look forward to working with Erick on video and audio endeavors and am really happy to have such a respected and staid member of the journalistic community to temper our dick jokes. This also means that Erick and I are looking for office space in Silicon Alley or Silicon Brooklyn, which means I will no longer have to entertain the CEOs of major corporations in my basement. If you know of some sub-let space, please drop us a line.
