Soccer (football, blahblahblah) really needs to implement some sort of goal line technology. This is getting ridiculous. Peter has threatened to hunt me down if I give away the score of last Saturday’s Chelsea-Blackburn match, but let me assure you: the presence of technology would have altered the match’s result in one team’s favor. Note that I’m not a fan of either of these two teams per se (I’m strictly a La Liga guy), but it’s pretty sad to see games effectively ruined by some dopey linesman.

If tennis can do it, if the NFL can do it (to an extent) why can’t UEFA or FIFA or whatever get on the ball and bring the beautiful game into the 21st century?
