    Sony just “dropped” firmware version 1.90 for the PS3 in Japan. Expect it here any minute now. The change log shows that most of the improvements are mere cosmetic or otherwise fairly minor. Still, you’ll now be able to force 24Hz output for Blu-ray over the ol’ HDMI. CD audio output can now also be changed to 44.1/88.2/176/4kHz. You can also now change video setting while in-game. No more going back to the system settings while trying to get the picture to look just right.
