Study: iPhone Has Video Potential

iphonevideo.jpgWell file this under information we probably already knew. A recent survey from media research firm Intererpret, LLC, suggests that the iPhone has the potential to deliver growth for mobile video usage. The studies finding show that 63 percent of iPhone owners have already used the widescreen-enabled device to watch video.

“Apple has already made a name for itself as a top destination for music and video on-the-go, and consumers expect the iPhone to deliver on that reputation,” said Jason Kramer, Chief Strategy Officer, Interpret. “Consumers want to watch video on their cell phones, but they have high expectations for the experience. The iPhone shows consumers that the potential is there to meet or exceed their expectations for mobile video.”

Further findings suggest that the iPhone could even have a “halo effect” with all mobile video, spurring interest among non-iPhone owners.
