I’ve been hinting at a CrunchGear reader meet-up somewhere in Central Europe and I’ve decided to hold the first one next week in Budapest. I have to confirm the date, time, and location, but I’m looking for Hungarian folks who might have something to show off or talk about to a group of cool, tech savvy readers and I’m also looking for sponsors and/or giveaways. If you’re interested in talking about possible displays, drop me a line at john at crunchgear dot com or Skype me at johnnybnyc or AIM me at johnbiggsnyc. We’ll mention you in all of the posts leading up to the meet-up and you’ll also be enshrined at the foot of Mount Bloggerumpus as one of the cooler companies in the CE area.

That said, here’s what I’m expecting: the iPhone is winging its way to Warsaw as we speak and I’ll be bringing it along to show off and discuss. We’ll then talk about the Hungarian market, then we’ll drink a lot. Gergely Szabó of Webisztan and Index.hu is helping me find a venue, so I’ll let you know by Wednesday where and when we’ll be rocking out. If we get enough sponsors, we might be able to offer some booze tokens and things, so cross your fingers.

I’m obviously coming at this from the gadget angle, but if you have any Web 2.0 ideas, I’d be glad to entertain them. The next stop is Warsaw so please email me immediately as well if you’re in the Warsaw area. I may also do Berlin and/or Prague, provided we have enough interest.
