Palm’s new Linux-based mobile operating system has just been delayed to 2008. When the system was announced in May of this year Palm claimed that devices on “OS II” would be in consumer hands by years end. Recently however, Palm’s CEO Ed Colligan was quoted saying that “Products based on the new Linux-based platform that we’re working on, that won’t be until some time next year.”

He also confirmed Palm’s commitment to both the Palm platform and Windows Mobile.
