I love it when companies release a bunch of products simultaneously. That either means 1) they want to flood the airwaves with news of their products or 2) none of the products are all that hot, so they release them all at the same time to dull the pain. My opinion, not anyone else’s here. Right, so, Toshiba just announced an HD DVD-having Qosmio and a few new Satellites. The Qosmio F45-AV412, henceforth the AV412, is a multimedia workhorse, with the aforementioned HD DVD drive, as well as an HDMI output and roomy 250GB hard drive, albeit one that spins at only 4,200RPM. It also has 802.11n. Righteous!

As for the Satellites, they lose the HD DVD drive and only have 802.11b/g. However, they do use AMD processors for the first time in a while.

    Umm… Bring on the iPhone!
