The $600 LG Prada is Verizon Wireless’ answer to the $500 Apple iPhone… OK, you can stop laughing now.

It’s not that the Prada isn’t a good phone or anything—clearly it’s deserving of all the hype. But the thought of VZW “answering” to anything borders on the absurd. Can you imagine the Prada with really hottt V-Cast Tunezzz on it? There’s no reason why the Prada couldn’t, and shouldn’t, be a fine alternative to the iPhone, but history tells us that VZW loves to screw with phones to the point of exhaustion.
