V Cast Mobile Expands to Eight Cities

logo_vzw.gifThe Verizon Wireless V Cast Mobile TV service has expanded to eight additional markets, reports Telecommunications Industry News. The wireless TV service launched in 20 markets on March 1, and major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Philadelphia can now tune in to see programming. Currently the service, which is based on Qualcomm’s MediaFlo tech and costs $15 for monthly subscription, includes eight channels of content from CBS Mobile, ESPN, Fox Mobile, NBC 2GO, NBC News 2GO, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and MTV, and is available to 3G subscribers in large markets in the US.
