Though a lot of the FPS hype lately has been centered around the upcoming Halo 3 multiplayer beta, one other tidbit of news has just been announced that could rival that of the Master Chief and the Xbox 360. Seb Downie from Guerilla Games, the team responsible for the Killzone series, has posted on the official Killzone.com forums, saying that a public beta will happen for sure.

“Of course there is going to be a public beta. I have always said that any game that has an online mode needs to go through a public beta to ensure it works as intended.”

Good idea considering the first Killzone’s multiplayer sucked. Chances are the beta will occur towards the end of 2007 as the Guerilla team works feverishly on completing the “killer app” that could revitalize interest in a dying PS3. Only time will tell.
