OWC Solves Your USB2+eSATA Portable Drive Problems

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

OWC announced the Mercury On-The-Go USB2+eSATA Portable Drive today, so you better line up and grab one. The 2.5-inch drive easily connects to your Mac/PC via USB and USB 2.0 or through the eSATA port connection, which is way faster, but you know that. The drive is ensconced in an impact resistant acrylic enclosure that also incorporates a shock-isolation technology that keeps it chuggin’ along.

If you choose to connect the drive via USB then there is no need for a power source, but the eSATA connection needs the included A/C adapter so you’re covered either way. Pick one up for your 80 to 200GB portable drives for a mere $117.99 or you can get the USB-only version for $99.97.
