Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

Have I told you lately how much I love convergence devices? I am absolutely blown away by the DXG-589V digital camera/camcorder and portable entertainment unit. Why? Because it’s a 5 megapixel digital camera, VGA camcorder, PMP, video game player and it directly records video from TV, VCR or DVD players.

The DGX-589V’s digital camera comes equipped with CMOS sensor so your pics and vids will turn out just divine. MPEG-4 video is recorded at 640×480 at 30 FPS and with a little help from interpolation digital still JPEGs megapixels jump to 10. The flip screen rotates, boasts a “Gameboy shape” and comes packed with 20 built in 2D or 3D video games.

Other goodies include a camera pouch, Li-ion battery, AV cable, stereo earphone, remote controller, Mr. Photo 3 software, VideoWorks 6 software and a slew of other extras. At $199.99 you can’t really go wrong.
