The semi-closed Halo 3 demo will be available on Xbox Live on May 16. (At 8 a.m. EDT, to be exact.) The demo consists of three medium- to large-scale multi-player maps and will only be available to people who already signed up for it last year or for people who purchase a specially marked copy of the game Crackdown.

The full game is expected to go on sale in the fall and pretty much represents what “next-gen” gaming is all about. All I have to say is, it better resolve that stupid cliffhanger ending from the second game.
