Zune-Online is positing that a new, flash-based Zune will soon be available for free with a Zune subscription. They really don’t have much overall information on the concept or actual device, so take it with a grain of salt.

I’m not a big Zune fan, but I’ll admit I was excited back when it first launched. However, as we all know, the iPod juggernaut is a hard beast to break. Will a free mini Zune with flash memory and wireless turn the tide, though? I seriously doubt it. We’ll do a little digging and see if this is really in the cards.

Zune for free with a phone-like plan? [Zune-online]
