Though the initial rush for the Playstation 3 in the UK and Europe showed it being well-received and profitable, the second week of sales is just not looking good at all. Official figures from Chart Track data show that indeed, the PS3’s sales have dropped by a mind-blowing 82%. But that’s not the worst part. Titles are taking a hit too. The two most popular games, Resistance and Motorstorm have dropped 60% since last week.
Chart Track data is collected from over 7000 UK retail shops, so I’d say this data is pretty accurate. Sony had better come up with a new marketing strategy/Killzone release if they plan on keeping up with the competition in Europe.
