Engadget is publishing rumor and innuendo regarding Palm’s efforts at creating an ultra-thin WiMAX phone that will run in the Sprint network. No other information, but this is valuable in that we’re definitely going to see a new breed of handset hit the streets in the next few months and if Palm doesn’t pull this off, they’re nigh on screwed.

What say ye? Can Palm save itself?
