• Wisair, Nokia Wireless USB Camera Phone

    Thursday, February 8th, 2007

Wisair, one of the chipset makers trying to get its Ultra Wideband (UWB) and Wireless USB solutions into every consumer product ever, is demonstrating the use of Wireless USB in camera phones at 3GSM.

Using a Nokia N series handset embedded with the Wisair 542 chip, the company will show visitors to the WiMedia Alliance area (the rest of us will just have to take their word for it) just how great it will be when you can use Wireless USB to transfer pictures and video off your mobile phone and onto your computer—wirelessly. Assuming the carriers don’t lock down those features to keep you from using it.
