If you search eBay today for PlayStation 3 pre-orders you may find the results quite different than if you searched it yesterday. Apparently, eBay has a policy of not allowing sales of items if you’re more than 30 days away from having the actual item in your hand. The PlayStation 3 is available more than 30 days from now, hence eBay has removed those auctions and suspended those accounts for violating their terms of service. Woops!

To get your account turned back on, you have to fax them a six page letter and hope whoever reads it feels nice that day. And if you’re counting, you have a little more than seven days to start listing your PS3 on eBay legit.
