Nokia surprised us last night by launching a low-end music phone, the 5300, at a Gnarls Barkley concert they held at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square. This lumpkin, called the 5300 ExpressMusic phone, is a triband slider with a 1.3-megapixel camera, music control buttons next to the screen, FM tuner. The lower-end 5200, has only one music access key and a lower resolution camera.

Both run Series 40 from Symbian. No pricing or carriers yet, but expect them to end up overseas first.
