Mobango is coming to the UK

Italian based Mobango, a social network for mobile internet users, is soon to launch in the UK. Mobango enables users to publish, convert or share with friends their user generated media and content either via the web or via a mobile device.

The Mobango web site is a collection of free mobile content such as videos, ringtones, pictures and wallpapers, all easy to download and optimized for each specific mobile phone.

“Our users love our service because it’s totally free. You can have access to fun and original content to download onto their mobile phones or upload their own content, before sharing it with friends and family.” said Fabio Pezzotti, CEO of Mobango.

Mobango recently passed the 1 million user milestone and has recently introduced an entire set of new services and tools for its members, including the possibility of tagging files for better file organization, friends and group management, internal messaging system, and innovative new tools to convert audio and video files to fit anyone’s mobile device.

It will be interesting to see how successful this service in attracting new UK users and how long it will be before the Google, Yahoo, MSN – GYM club – and the social networks, MySpace, Bebo and Piczo, introduce a similar service mobile service.
